Leo Dalla "BJJ and MMA"

Start training Jiu-Jitsu in 1987 at age of 13, in Rio de Janeiro - Brazil under Jorge Pereira, passing through all the belts (Yellow - Orange - Green - Blue - Purple - Brown - Black). Known in Brazil and throughout the World simply as “DALLA” he is one of the most well respected Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu fighters and instructors in the World.

Having a very successful competition history in Brazil from Yellow to Brown belt Dalla became the very first student to receive a Black Belt under Jorge Pereira in June 1993. His instructor Jorge Pereira received his Black Belt from the Legendary Rickson Gracie. Once receiving his Black Belt Dalla continued to compete showing that he is amongst the best in the World.

He has dedicating his life into teaching the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for the past 14 years, and now he has moved to America at the request of his very first Black Belt student Lloyd Irvin to open a school in Virginia to develop the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in the Virginia area.  

Dalla has been a very active competitor, nationally and Internationally having been a medalist in some of the biggest tournaments the sport has to offer. 

Even now Dalla still lays it on the line competing in Local, National and International events. It is a rare breed when you can find a BJJ Black Belt instructor that not only competes but is also a great Teacher.

Tom Chess - Kid's instructor

Coach Tom has been training various Martial Arts for the last twelve years styles including American Kenpo Karate, Taekwondo, Filipino Martial Arts, Muay Thai, Boxing, and And Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. After many years of training in Kenpo Karate he decided to go back to the art he loved the most. Brazilian Jiu-jitsu was always his true passion. Not until 2006 did he find the perfect place to develop this passion once again. He has been under Master Leo Dalla since 2006 currently holding the rank of Purple Belt. He has previously had experience with children while coaching basketball for many years, not to mention he is the father of two. His passion is to help mold young minds, and bodies to achieve the goals set for them not only in the gym or on the mat but also in school, and in life.

 

Joel Orzal - "Muay Thai"

Joel has been training, studying, and teaching martial arts for over fifteen years. His background includes Muay Thai, Kung Fu, Filipino Martial Arts, Boxing, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.  As an instructor, his experience teaching has included programs designed for students at all levels, from the recreational martial artist to the professional fighter.  His Muay Thai program covers understanding of technique, strength and conditioning, along with the most important of all, application of knowledge.  Joel truly focuses on teaching proper technique while challenging each of his students physically and mentally in a safe training environment.  Joel teaches Muay Thai on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.

 

David Reeves - "Muay Thai and No Gi"

This former Marine began training in Martial Arts at age 12 and was a Tae Kwon Do Junior Olympic Black Belt sparring Gold Medalist.  Dave is Brown Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Leo Dalla, and received his Muay Thai teaching certification from Kru Brooks Miller.  Dave is currently fighting in the ISCF and GCA.  Dave has competed in dozens of competitions in the US and in Brasil.
